39 countries, one profile
The single most common Italy data mistake is assuming Switzerland is covered. It is not in the EU, so it sits outside EU roaming rules and outside every Italy-only plan on this site.
That catches people on Lake Como day trips to Lugano, on the Bernina Express out of Tirano, on the Aosta Valley drive to Zermatt, and on any Dolomites route that crosses toward St Moritz. Your phone hunts, finds Swisscom or Salt, and either fails to attach or attaches at a roaming rate nobody quoted you.

- Check the handset. Dial *#06#. An EID means the phone takes an eSIM. A carrier-locked phone does not.
- Decide Italy-only or Europe first. If Switzerland, France or Spain are on the trip, the 39-country regional plan is the purchase, not the Italy one. If Italy is the whole trip, the country plan is cheaper.

Which network does Saily use in Italy?
Local partner networks, not disclosed by Saily. Its terms reserve the right to select network operators, and its Italy page, technical details and FAQ name none. Travel guides will assert one operator or another; and we do not treat a repeated blog claim as a network agreement. If knowing matters, Yesim names TIM, Vodafone, WindTre and Iliad and is $1.79 cheaper at 10GB.
Does Saily work in Switzerland?
